Wild Goose Creative is busy!

Well hello everyone! I was just looking over the calendar for the upcoming weeks and I am simultaneously excited and astounded by the offerings! I hope you all will take a look at our events calendar!

BENEFITS. We are providing a venue for three fundraising events in the coming weeks! Friday, May 29 is a fundraiser for Asia's Hope (an organization that starts and supports orphanages in Cambodia and Thailand). Saturday, May 30 is a fundraising event for an orphanage in Sudan. And Thursday, June 4 marks a Columbus-based edition of the Save Paste Magazine campaign; it will feature performances by great Columbus musicians and an opportunity to pitch in to support a terrific publication.

VISITING ARTISTS. Mandi Hutchins will be here this Thursday from Cincinnati, bringing us her storytelling expertise. Also, the first weekend in June, the fine artists from Virginia-based UnCovered Theatre will bring a series of workshops and performances for adults and kids alike.

TOO MANY COOKS! Ginger Sexton will bring us her expertise about barbeque sauces and regale us with stories from the rich, crazy, sweet, vinegary history of barbeque. Come eat, learn, and be entertained - and stay for a hoedown, courtesy of Matt Monta and the Hot Coal Band!

GEEKFEST. Stay tuned, gentle readers--Geekfest is going to be great stuff. Kicking off on June 18 with an evening of lightly staged short plays about superheros - continuing to include movie showings, a Settlers of Catan tournament, an evening of geeky sketch comedy, a comic book read-in, and more. We'll bring you all the details soon.

Not to mention the gatherings of all the sponsored groups that make use of our space at 2491 Summit - writing, drawing, painting, Shakespeare-reading, knitting, crafting, and comedy-making!

The next several weeks will be a great time to come to Wild Goose Creative, again or for the first time.

Hope to see you!
