A Tiny View Into Stitch & Bitch.

First, before we give you the highly coveted view into Stitch & Bitch, let's answer some frequently asked questions.

1. Do I have to be a good knitter?

No. You can be a bad knitter, an excellent knitter or even a crocheter. We don't care how good you are, or even what you're making. We'd just like your company. Some people who come are amazing and teach classes on the side. Others just like to make scarves. You're welcome, no matter what your skill level is.

2. Does it cost anything?

Nope. Not officially. We do ask that you throw some change or bills into the goose egg to help thank Wild Goose Creative for allowing us to use their space.

3. Is this group highly organized?

Not really. Some people are working on projects together (several people are trying out a hat pattern these days). Mainly, though, we work on our own projects and help one another out.

And now the pictures...

Dusk till Dawn!

Dusk till Dawn
Friday, April 3 - 8pm to Saturday April 4 - 8am

Have you ever woken up at 3am with the best idea for a story?

Well from Friday a night to Saturday morning you'll have a chance to record your stories Wild Goose Creative style! Using a variety of unique artistic mediums--photography, audio, video, drawing, painting, good old fashioned hand writing, and more--we'll spend from 8pm to 8am sharing memories, telling tales, and recording our everyday lives. Join us for this innovative night of story gathering and telling!

Part of our partnership with the Story Box Project, an international story telling initiative founded by OSU artist in residence Kevin Cordi, the stories we collect will travel around the world starting this June! Gathering more and more stories as they go they will return to Columbus one year later!

If you're interested in sharing your story you can also email us your stories anytime at storybox@wildgoosecreative.com

What Happens at Stitch & Bitch Stays...

Knitting (crocheting, button-sewing, beading, etc.) is only a tiny part of what happens with our Stitch & Bitch group. Not only do we share what we're reading, eating, and planning and scheming in our everyday lives, but more often than not, we're solving the problems of the world.

This group of women (and sometimes men; we're not exclusive) meets on Tuesday evenings at 7.30 p.m. at Wild Goose Creative. Stop by and introduce yourself. Chances are, you'll know someone; Columbus can be quite small for a big city. And if you don't, you'll definitely have a new friend or two by the time you leave. (And, perhaps, the answer to all life's questions.)

Shakespearean geese?

Whether you're wild or goosey by nature (or both!), there's a place in the circle for you at Shakespeare's Motleys, one of Wild Goose Creative's Community Groups. What a great opportunity it has been, to have a comfy space to share our enjoyment of the Bard as we read through his plays! WGC has taken the onerous work out of continually negotiating use of spaces for our meetings by offering to host us on a regular basis. First Tuesdays each month! Right there at WGC on Summit! Wheeee!

New Community Group!

One of many new community groups will start this week!:

We will read aloud, discuss and enjoy Shakespeare's plays in the company of other lovers of the Bard. We'll supplement our readings with screenings of filmed productions, when available and time permitting. Above all, we'll savor the language and marvel at the dramatic prowess of England's favorite son, sharing our learning and enjoyment.

WHO: Mature high school students on up. Though this is not a performance group, we will be reading the plays aloud, so a willingness to read aloud (and maybe, occasionally, stand up!) in front of others is required.
WHEN: 1st Tuesdays of each month; 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. See the event calendar for specific dates.
WHERE: 2491 Summit Street, Columbus, OH 43202
